HUNTING
UPLAND
Pheasant, Chukar, Quail
Upland Hunts at Boone Outfitters are for Pheasant, Chukar, and Quail, are either morning or afternoon with a duration of approximately 2-3 hours. Hunts are either self-guided or if a dog is needed, guided hunts are available for an additional fee. The birds are released just prior to the hunters arrival and each hunter is required to purchase a minimum release of birds each hunt.

Both rooster and hen pheasants are harvested. Your harvest is not limited by the number or species of birds released for your hunt. There is no additional charge for extra birds harvested over the number released for your hunt. Since we are licensed through the Colorado Division of Wildlife, individuals are not required to have a hunting license on our preserve.

Hunting Dogs are Required.- In order to insure that you have a sucessful hunt, we strongly recommend that you use a hunting dog. If you do not have a dog and are unable to hunt with some who does, you may hire one of our professional guides for your hunt.

Guide Fee: $100 per hunt for Member and Non-member

Upland hunts will run September 25th -March 31st

WATERFOWL
Duck and Goose

Waterfowl Hunts are also offered for our hunters at Boone Outfitters. Guides are required on all waterfowl hunts The guide will provide the decoys and dog. The geese are within firing range, and most do not go over 30 yards. Colorado Waterfowl Hunting consists of ducks and geese, and the blinds are set up nearby the rivers, lakes, and ponds. There is a steady flow of ducks and geese that land in the waters, and the hunters feel like they have hit the jackpot throughout the season. Sometimes there are so many all at one time; the hunter may not have to aim, only to shoot. When they fly in from the Dakotas, Canadian Prairie, and Montana, they sometimes look like a cloud when they land or take off altogether. Many hunters hit up to eight different species in an allowed session.​

RESERVATIONS & CANCELLATIONS
Reservations are required for all hunts and are accepted up to 30 days in advance. Cancellations or changes must be made a minimum of 48 hours prior to your scheduled hunt time. If notice of cancellation or changes is not received, then you will be charged the full amount of the hunt. We are closed on all major holidays.
